Macmillan - Actons Charity of the Year

Actons has again nominated Macmillan as its Charity of the year. The Firm carries out a number of fundrasing initiatives and a cheque for £1,000 was handed over to the East Midlands team during August for efforts since the start of the year. Over the years Actons has raised in excess of £10,000.

Actons Directors, staff and clients planted 100 trees as part of the National Forest as a thank you to everyone who has helped with the success of the Firm over the years. This is a very positive and permanent way to celebrate our successes and leaves a lasting reminder that will be built upon.

Nottingham Harmonics Society

For the third year running, Actons will be sponsoring the annual Family Carol Concert run by the Nottingham Harmonics Society at the Royal Concert Hall. These ever popular concerts allow Actons to be involved in an event that reaches out the local community as well as supporting members of staff who sing with the Society.

Unleashed - A Gift of Inspiration

Actons were delighted to be asked by clients of the firm to be the main sponsors of "Unleashed - A Gift of Inspiration". This exhibition is a collaboration of Nottingham creatives and industry organisations that have joined together to help raise the profile of Nottingham as a creative capital. Currently ranked 4 th , the members of Unleashed are working with the Nottingham City Council to raise the profile of the city and to increase its ranking over the next three years. This is another example of Actons working with and supporting clients where possible.

Framework Housing

Actons has worked and supported Framework Housing Association for many years and recent events have included making it possible for service users to hold a week long art exhibition of their work at View From The Top Gallery, sponsorship of the framework AGM and support sponsorship of the very popular Human Table Football event held earlier this year.

Nottingham Forest Ladies - Reanne Thomas

Actons are delighted to sponsor Reanne Thomas, a member of the Nottingham Forest Ladies Senior squad first team for the 2007/2008 season. Reanne is one of the youngest players (16 years old) and has been with the club since 2001.

Netherfield Girls FC



Actons are also proud to sponsor Netherfield Girls Under 13's team who are part of the Netherfield Boys/GirlsFC and have just stepped up to the challenges of 11 a side football.  The club has been Charter Standard Club winners for last 2 years and consist of approximately 18 teams of which 4 are girls teams.

Recently due to growth and commitment to football standards, Netherfield Boys/Girls FC in partnership with Gedling Borough Council and The Football Foundation has secured funding for development of a new pavillion and the Under 13 girls are looking forward to the new season ahead.
