Claire joined Actons as a director to head the employment team in 2004.

Claire has extensive experience in acting for organisations large and small in all types of employment disputes.  She has particular expertise in more complex cases involving multiple redundancies, collective consultation, TUPE transfers, protective awards, whistleblowing and discrimination claims.

Claire provides strategic, pragmatic, high level advice to employers on all employment issues.

She has developed a particular expertise in advising insolvency practitioners and those buying insolvent companies on relevant employment aspects.

Claire has considerable knowledge of employment law issues which affect charities and not for profit organisations and has experience of also acting for them.

She is is skilled at providing data protection advice to commercial, not for profit and public sector organisations, both in the employment context and beyond.

Claire is an experienced trainer and has provided in-house training for clients on a number of employment and human resources topics to a range of clients in the private and public sector.

Claire is the company secretary of a Nottingham based national Charity and an enthusiastic member of Soroptimist International. Claire is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and CIPD.
