Tom joined Actons as an associate in the corporate team in May 2011.

Tom regularly acts for business owners looking to sell their business, or for management teams who are looking to buy out the owners of the business via an “MBO” purchase. 

He also acts for banks and other financial institutions on the funding of business purchases including cash flow and asset based lending, or can advise in connection with private funding and investment.

Tom has acted for a number of companies in the life sciences, bio-tec and pharmaceutical sectors, some which are based in Nottingham’s BioCity hub facility.

These include University “Spin Out” companies, involving the commercialisation of research, often involving private equity or equity investment funding. 

Tom also has experience advising clients in the transport and logistics and recruitment sectors, plus software and IT companies.

In his spare time Tom enjoys ski-ing, outdoor pursuits and music, both classical and contemporary.
