We understand how difficult leaving a job can be, particularly when it wasn’t your choice.A Compromise Agreement is an agreement between an employee and employer which sets out the terms and conditions by which an employment will be terminated. This agreement is legally binding and should be skilfully negotiated so that you receive what you are entitled too. You need someone who understands the legal issues to guide you through it. We are happy to talk this through in a free initial call.
Our friendly and approachable solicitors will review your agreement and advise you whether you are receiving the correct amount. If changes need to be made we will negotiate these on your behalf with your employer.
We will explain the agreement clearly and without using legal jargon so that you understand exactly what you are agreeing to sign. Our solicitors have a wealth of employment law experience and have advised many clients who have had their employment contract terminated. Whatever your questions, we will be happy to help.
If you have been offered a Compromise Agreement by your employer or one has been suggested, you will need legal advice. A Compromise Agreement is not valid unless you have been legally advised and this is certified in the agreement.
Under a Compromise Agreement you sign away your right to bring a claim against your employer in return for some money. The law only allows this to happen if you have received expert advice.
In most cases your employer will pay our fees. We always agree fees before incurring them, so you will not get any unwelcome surprises.
We have experience of acting for employees on Compromise Agreements with companies of all types, large and small, and in a wide range of sectors, including Boots, the BBC, Harrods, John Lewis, Next and Pepsico.
We act for employees all over the country. If you wish to come into our offices then we will be happy to see you but, if you do not, we are perfectly able to deal with your case by email and phone.
