Actons work with Age UK Notts to launch new legal services clinic

Actons have worked in partnership with Age UK Nottingham & Nottinghamshire to launch a new free legal advice clinic in the city.

In a relationship going back nearly 10 years, Actons have been providing the charity’s users with free legal advice clinics, enabling thousands of people over 55 access to free legal advice.

The latest development is the launch of a new free legal advice service at The Lifestyle Centre in the Bridgeway Centre, Nottingham. The clinic runs on Thursdays each week between 9.30am – 12.30pm.

The Lifestyle Centre is a joint project run by Age UK Nottingham & Nottinghamshire and Advantage Social Enterprise CIC which trades as Advantage Mobility. TLC is a one-stop-shop for older and disabled people that provides expert assessment, trusted advice and person-centred solutions to enhance their quality of life.

Mike Spencer, Director at Actons who will be running the clinics said: “I’m really pleased to be launching this new clinic with Age UK Notts, continuing our relationship with them at a new location. We’ve been delighted to help so many in our community over the years, and hope that we’ll help many more in the future at The Lifestyle Centre. We really hope that the accessibility of the centre will prove useful for older people given its ease of access and car parking.”

Lauren McGowan, Information, Signposting and Advice Manager at Age Uk Nottingham & Nottinghamshire said: “Here at Age UK Notts, we believe it’s really important that older people access the services they need to make informed decisions about their own lives. We’re pleased to work in partnership with Actons to open this new and free service in the NG2 area so older people can find the help they need.”

The Lifestyle Centre is located in The Bridgeway Centre, close to The Meadows and West Bridgford, with ample car parking.
