A nationwide survey has shown that over the past year there has been a large rise in men attending beauty salons. The percentage of men attending salons has risen a staggering 66%.
The increase could create 11,000 jobs over the next year in the beauty industry. Haircuts are still the most popular requests but record levels have been seen for hair removal, tanning sessions and manicures.

The increase could create 11,000 jobs over the next year in the beauty industry. Haircuts are still the most popular requests but record levels have been seen for hair removal, tanning sessions and manicures.
In Wales, 35% of male customers request tanning treatments and this is the highest demand in the UK, nearly half requested hair removal treatments.
Furthermore, 74% of beauty salons in Scotland now provide male treatments.
