We won’t take a success fee from your compensation after changes to the law

A change in the law on 1 April 2013 will drastically affect costs and funding for personal injury claims. The reforms, known as the ‘Jackson Reforms’, mean that law firms can no longer recover a ‘success fee’ from the other side when they win a case, if they act for you on a no win no fee basis.

The change in the law means that for all claims started after 1 April 2013, if you win your case, your solicitor can take up to 25% of your compensation from you to cover their success fee.

Actons Injury Solicitors have decided that we won’t take a success fee from our clients. Therefore you can keep the maximum amount of compensation as we won’t ask you to pay a success fee to us.

The good other news is that the value of claims will increase by 10% from 1 April 2013 to compensate for the fact that we could take a success fee from you. But as we don’t charge a success fee to our clients, unlike other firms, you get all the benefit of this.

If you have had an accident that was not your fault, call Actons Injury Solicitors today on 08081 355 355 or fill in the webform below to ensure you don’t lose any of your compensation in success fees.
