Actons take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks

On Saturday 9 May 2015, an energetic team from Actons will be undertaking the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise funds for Framework Housing Association.

Framework is a Nottingham based charity dedicated to helping homeless people, preventing homelessness, and promoting opportunities for vulnerable and excluded people to change the direction of their lives.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The money raised will be used to fund the second stage of a garden project which we started last summer at the care home operated by Framework at 32 Bentinck Road.  The work done so far has already made a big contribution to the lives of the residents at the Bentinck Road care home.
