Zip World shut for two days after staff suffer accident at work

Zip World had to be closed down for two days after members of staff experienced workplace injuries during a test run of an attraction. The injuries were described as “non-life threatening”.

Ambulances were called to the attraction, which is Europe’s longest zip wire and took both men involved to hospital to have their injuries treated, whilst the park had to be closed to the public.

The park initially planned to re-open the same day but was advised by the technical team that it should remain closed for a further two days, while more tests could be carried out to ensure the attraction wouldn’t cause any more injuries.
