Actons Plugs Into New Online Wills and Estate Planning Tool

Our Private Client team have joined forces with legal technology specialist Settify to offer you a sophisticated online option to start the process of making or reviewing your Will.

The custom-built tool will enhance your experience when you want to explore changing your existing Will or making a new Will.

Settify uses artificial intelligence to interact with you when you’re making enquiries for the first time to make a Will. It explains legal jargon and provides relevant initial information based on your particular circumstances. The system then prepares a full brief of your instructions for the lawyer at Actons. The information gathered and organised via the system makes the first meeting between us more solution-focused and better value for money, whether that’s face-to-face or by video call.

You can access the new service by clicking here. You will be asked eight simple questions about your situation and it will provide you with an initial idea about where you stand. It will explain how our team of specialist lawyers can help, allowing you to feel better prepared and also enabling the lawyer to have the relevant information to ensure they are maximising time spent in the first meeting.

Heather Parker, Associate and Private Client lawyer at Actons commented “We are committed to providing our clients with an exceptional standard of service and during the COVID-19 pandemic this has not changed. We continue ‘business as usual’ and are excited to be adopting such innovation and intelligent use of technology to be able to provide a valuable service for clients.

“The collaboration between Actons and Settify means that our clients can now provide their initial Will instructions at a time and place of their choosing. The online tool enables us to further adapt to a changed way of working and provide our clients with another way of accessing our services.”
