On Tuesday 29 November, we took part in techtimeout #TechTimeOutTuesday.
It’s a digital wellbeing day with the purpose of pledging some time away from tech to raise awareness of the importance of digital wellbeing. Digital wellbeing is the impact of technology on mental, physical and emotional health.
Our fantastic Mental Health First Aiders (Harry Georgiou, Lorraine Munn & Nic Elliott) hosted a ‘Tea and Doughnut’ (or coffee!) morning for all our colleagues to take an hour away from their tech and catch-up with other colleagues!
Matt Coleman, Director and Chief Operations Officer at Actons said: “Technology has become an important and integral part of our daily lives – both in and out of work. But it can also be challenging to manage the effects that screen time has on our own wellbeing.
“That’s why Actons decided to take part in ‘techtimeout’ Tuesday on 29 November 2022, as part of our ongoing focus on wellbeing and mental health. We’re encouraging our colleagues to take an hour away from tech platforms and use the time to catch-up with each other over ‘tea and doughnuts’, hosted by our mental health first aiders.”
