Biography
Julie has extensive experience in supporting clients in all aspects of Family Law. In addition to financial issues, she also advises and represents clients in resolving matters relating to children, both in terms of their living arrangements and also in respect of financial provision for children.
She specialises in helping clients to navigate the legal and financial consequences following relationship breakdown, whether married, unmarried, or in civil partnerships. Her experience includes dealing with complex assets, many of which include companies, trusts, property portfolios or international elements. She also often supports clients looking to preserve and protect their wealth through cohabitation or nuptial agreements.
Julie deals with a wide range of clients, not just those of a high net worth, and approaches every matter based on its own individual circumstances, believing that it should never be a matter of “one size fits all”. A key aspect of Julie’s relationship with her clients is communication and approachability.
Julie adopts a pragmatic but fair approach to resolving matters for her clients whether within or outside of Court proceedings. This includes carefully assessing whether alternative forms of dispute resolution are suitable options for each client and will work with her clients to explore whether e.g., mediation, arbitration, private FDRs and/or roundtable meetings would work for them.
Julie qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 and joined Actons in April 2024.
