UPDATE: Our recruitment for trainee solicitor roles for 2022 is currently on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak and will relaunch the process as soon as possible.
Trainee solicitors start a two year training period usually in September. The successful candidates are required to have a 2:1 or 1st class degree (not necessarily in Law) and to have successfully completed the LPC before starting the training period.
- Stage 1 – Online application form – to be completed in full and submitted by 5 pm on Tuesday 31 March March 2020. Forms received after this time may not be considered.
- Stage 2 – Written assessment – a small group of candidates will be selected to complete a written exercise.
- Stage 3 – Panel interview – the final shortlist are invited to a 30-40 minute interview, and to give a short presentation, followed by an informal lunch to meet some of our past and present trainees, directors and other members of staff. This is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions about the role of a trainee solicitor and the working life at Actons.
